New parenting methods promise peace while leaving families more anxious, reactive, and unsure of themselves than ever. Even Christian parents are being told to fear the word "authority" and just lower expectations. And I've felt the pressure too. I've felt the doubt and exhaustion of constantly wondering if I am doing it wrong.
What kept pulling at me was this question:
Why are we looking everywhere for answers when God has already given them?
Scripture doesn’t leave parents guessing. And when I stopped chasing advice and started ordering my home around God’s design, things began to change. That's what led me here, to your screen.

I’m Bonnie Matthews, a homeschool mother of six and the founder of Keeping Watch Ministries.
I’ve spoken at conferences, taught in online summits and guest appeared on podcasts reaching thousands of Christian parents seeking clarity and direction for their homes.
Everything I teach is rooted in Scripture and refined through daily practice in my own family. This work exists because parents are hungry for leadership that is both biblically faithful and practically livable.
Keeping Watch Ministries was born out of Hebrews 13:17, which calls leaders to watch over souls with care and accountability. My vision is to see families return to God’s design for the home, where parents lead with conviction and children are formed in truth, dignity, and love. This work is about helping parents disciple their children faithfully, so they can understand their God-given value and grow as followers of Christ, starting at home.
